Why am i the only one hes so mean to?

So I know guys tease you when they like you...but my good guy friend i met at work..hes my cubemate and were both 20, have a lot in common and have become good friends. We know eachother like the back of ur hands. Everyone wants us to date but he wont admit he likes me. Hes told me he wants to have more of a mental connection with a girl over her beauty and we have that. The thing is..he absolutely loves to tease me like its pretty mean stuff, i know hes not ever serious and we both laugh about it...his big joke he relates everything to is killing me and hiring a hit man, dont get me wrong it sounds weird but its not. we bicker back and fourth about EVERYTHING. Besides him being mean...hes everything ive wanted in a guy, personality, goals, music taste...and knows when to be serious like today when i was really sad about something..he knew exactly what to do to put a smile on my face and get my mind off of it. But with all his flirting and teasing is confusing when he says he doesnt like me..is it a cover up? What do his actions realllly mean translated from boy language??? Were both going our separate ways for college and wont be working together anymore at the end of august :( is he waiting to tell me how he really feels after were not working together? im confused...
